Online Instructional Content and strategies

Instrumental ThingLink

Learner-Content Interaction:
When a learner is provided with a ThingLink image (like the one above) with information tags already in place, they're able to interact with that content.

InfoViz:
Information Visualization is a natural product of Thinglink work.  Every image that a student selects and/or contributes tags for engages them in InfoViz.

Remix
: This image could be used to engage students in the remixing of information they've been given as part of instruction or have retrieved as part of research.

Photosynthesis thinglink

User-Generated Content: This image could be provided by an instructor for students to tag resources from research.  Students could also be challenged to generate a similar image as well as the ThingLink tags.

InfoViz:  As students research and decide on the content to attach to the images, they're creating a visual representation of the information they are learning.

Bloom-ing collaboration

This image was created to show the possibility of collaborative image tagging within ThingLink.  While ThingLink does not allow simultaneous tagging, multiple users can edit the same image one at a time.  Once the sharing settting is set to "anyone can edit," one user at a time can access and edit the image so long as no one else is editing.  This does create a timing challenge for assigning collaborative projects.

However, you may open the image to the right of Bloom's taxonomy chart and add your own teaching resources.  Should you attempt this during the live webcast of this workshop, you'll likely find that it is locked by someone else editing the image.  Do take some time and contribute to this
